 Fifth Weekly Report of Second Phase of                  School Interships 

  Dated from 8-07-2024 to 12-07-2024

             DAY 1( 8-07-2024)
Today is our 20th day at St Gorettti's HSS as part of our second phase of school internship. I reached  the school at 8:30 a.m.. we had a morning prayer at the headmistress room at 9:10 a.m.. There after there was a morning prayer for the whole School. Headmistress gave us instructions regarding the duty. Today I got the 6th period at class 9 b. I had taken 4 then 5th stanza of the poem Nothing Twice. The class went well. Entry activity showing an image and a discussion was very effective. Discourse construction activity regarding a puzzle activity was well received by the students. Content was logically presented. Students actively participated in the activities. There after we had 
the substitution duty at different classes and evening discipline duties. The day ends with good memorable and happy moments. At 3:30 p.m. we had the national anthem. 

              DAY 2(9-07-2024)

       Today is our 21 St day at St Gorettti's HSS. I reached the school at 8:30 a.m.  We had a very good morning prayer and speech. The headmistresses gave us instructions. Today I got the second period at class 9 b. I was able to complete my lesson plan effectively. The usage of ICT was well received by the students to show the glossary. The content was translated in a systematic way . Entry activity regarding the video was very effective. Writing discourses based on the textbook activity was very useful. I had given an appreciation of the poem Nothing Twice as an assignment. I 12:20 p.m. we had the noon meal duty. I got substitution at 8b and 9A at afternoon periods. At 3:30 p.m. there was a national anthem.  Overall it was a good day. 

             DAY 3(10-07-2024)


It was our 22 nd day at St Gorettti's HSS. I reached the school at 8 30 am. We have a morning prayer at the headmistress room following a morning prayer at school. We have the morning discipline duty. We got several substitution duty at different classes. Today I got the 6th period at class 9 b. I started a new lesson named 'Dreams Realised ' which was written by Mahadev Desai.. I had taken the first paragraph of the lesson.It was my observation class. Entry activity by using charts was effective in delivering the theme of the lesson. The usage of ICT was very effective in explaining the glossary words. Writing discourses based on a puzzle activity was effective. Learners actively participated in the entry activity. Today our Malayalam optional teacher Nadhanine sir visited our school and our class. We are very happy to see him and heard his words.

           DAY 4(11-07-2024)
         The count down starts with the ending of those memorable happy days. It was our 23 rd day at St Gorettti's HSS. As usual I reached the school at 8 30 am. We have the morning prayer at the headmistress room following the school prayer by the students. We got several substitution duties. Today our concerned physical education teacher visited  our school for observation. Today is my observation class. I got the fourth period at class 9 b. I started the class by following the lesson plan. The entry activity was very effective for the students by presenting the chart activity. Time management was followed effectively. Students got proper understanding from the video of shown in the link talk. Writing discusses were given in the discourse construction activity. Students presented their doubts and got clarified. Overall , the class went well. We had the noon meal duty and substitution duties. At 3:30 p.m. there was a national anthem and the school days is over.

  Second Phase of School Interships Weekly                         Report                REPORT OF FIRST WEEK    First week started from 12-06-2024 to    15-06-2024.               DAY 1 (12-06-2024)        Our second phase of School Interships starts at 12 th June 2024 at St Gorettti's Higher Secondary School, Nalanchira.Our divided us into different groups and send us to different schools.I got St Gorettti's Higher Secondary school, Nalanchira..We ,a group of 10 students from different departments are assigned here.Our leader is Renjitha R.J from Social Science and assistant leader is Priyanka P.S from Physical Science.Our other group members are Ancy B.R, Lekshmi Raj.R, Meera M.R, Bijimol,Shilpa Manikandan,Sruthykrishnan, Manjima and Abeesha.

Cognitive Map

              Cognitive Map       As part of the B ed curriculum, a Cognitive Map was prepared manually consisting each unit from Plus one and Plus two.       Mapping in writing is an attempt of really handy techniques that help children to organise their thoughts early on in the writing process. Mapping is a more general term that includes strategies like mind mapping, listing, brainstorming and others too. There are various techniques that children can use like concept maps, flowcharts and lists of pros and cons. When new knowledge is integrated with and connected to existing knowledge that new knowledge is easier to understand and to remember.
